Film Fest
|
Bridgit Anderson, photographer and documentary maker from the Fine Arts Department at Canterbury University is contracted by ?our stories? to deliver the Film Fest extension workshop and show.
This is open to students from years 7 and 8 who have participated in the ?My name is ?? workshops.
The Film Fest workshops are four 3 hour sessions which take place in your school. The students work in small groups of 3 or 4 with a guest from within the local community. All the guests have a disability. The students interview the person about their life, take photographs and using the latest technology, produce a 3 minute DVD.
This workshop culminates in a Film Fest evening where the DVD?s are showcased and viewed by the wider community.

See our Media Reviews page for feedback on the workshops and reviews of the exhibition.
You can also see the story of the exhibition Working Around Disability by photographer Hanne Johnsen and how the work of taking these photos was for her and some of the people she met.
