If you had no arms how would you eat and brush your teeth etc? |

How does Steve swim and keep his head above water? |
Steve wrote: "I swim on my back by kicking my feet, I dive, I do honey pots and I do wicked staple dives. On my front I swim by keeping my head above water." |
Peter B says that people call him brain dead! I don't think that way, why would anyone think like that? |
"It's fantastic that you don't think like that. I guess some people don't realise that Peter (or any other disabled person) is just like them. We all enjoy the same things as anybody else". |
What's the hardest thing about having a disability? |
"One of the hardest thing to do is get up a flight of stairs or steps and the hardest thing to deal with is other peoples’ attitudes and what they think I can and can't do". |
What are your dreams? |
"Some of my dreams were to leave school, get a job and to live in my own house and travel overseas. I have accomplished all of these dreams. My current dream is to learn to sail a yacht". |
How do you drive a car? |
Steve wrote: "Using a steering wheel is very helpful! (just joking) Instead of driving with arms, I use my left foot to steer while my right foot controls the brakes and accelerates. I am only able to drive automatic cars." |
Is it hard getting in and out of bed? |
"No, I do get in and out of bed differently from you – I use a hoist - but this is how I've always done it - so it's not hard for me". |
My question is do the bus drivers out there help you get into the wheelchair some of the buses that I have been on, the drivers just sit in the seat and let me try and pick up the seat or sometimes I have to get someone else to help me move the seat up to get me in the space. I think some bus drivers are so lazy. |
